Cedar Creek Church of God

We are a great fellowship of believers!  Our combined Sunday morning worship services average 230.  We are a blend of young, retired, men, professionals, married, children, women, single and all ages and groups in between!  We are a friendly church that welcomes visitors into our fellowship.

We are a Bible-believing, non-denominational church that affiliates with the church of God reformation movement headquartered in Anderson, Indiana.  We teach and live holy lives as led by the Holy Spirit.

Our pastors place the Word of God as the foundation of all that we do.  They present the Bible in a practical, understandable, relevant, life-changing manner, recognizing the importance of modeling what they preach.

Local Church History

In 1915 a group of Christians meeting for worship in homes became the early members of Broyles Chapel Church of God.  The first building was built in 1922 on the road now known as Garrett Hill.  Pastors of the Broyles Chapel Church have been Joe Harold, James I. Turner, O. D. Bailey, George B. King, James T. Hooten, Rupert Green, Carson Reynolds, Benjamin Jenkins, Earl Nichols and Brice Casey.  The building was enlarged during the ministries of James T. Hooten, Rupert Green, and Benjamin Jenkins.  A parsonage was built beside the church in 1943.

In 1975, under the leadership of pastor Brice Casey, the Broyles Chapel Church relocated to new facilities on Cedar Creek Road and changed its name to Cedar Creek Church of God.

A new parsonage, located at 2395 Garrett Hill Road, was built in 1990.  Pastor Mike Cox and family were the first to reside there.

In 2001, under pastor Dwayne Pierce, the church building doubled in size with the addition of an expanded narthex, a new kitchen, three new offices, a Christian Activity Center, two classrooms and handicap-accessible restrooms.

Senior pastors of Cedar Creek Church have been Brice Casey, Orville Easterling, Bob Cole, Mike Cox, Dwayne Pierce and Darryl Allen.  Associate pastors have been Joel Ferren, David Konstantopoulos, Tamara Dreger and Josh Beddingfield.
