If any body of believers is to achieve great things in the Kingdom of God, it must have goals, it must have a clear purpose -- a vision. As Christians, we represent Christ Himself to our family, neighbors, friends and co-workers. Ministry is a reflection of our love of Jesus. When we understand how much God has given us, we are motivated to give back in our time, talent and treasure to see God's Church grow. Cedar Creek Church of God is that kind of fellowship.
We welcome you to come and be a part of what God is doing!
CEDAR CREEK CHURCH OF GOD MISSION STATEMENT:
We are striving to be God's church by meeting the needs of all people through: praying, winning the lost, encouraging those around us, visiting and church growth.
In 2000, we adopted the outreach theme: "Community Challenged -- Committed to Growth." This theme not only represents our commitment to expanding our physical facilities, but also to expanding our fellowship to reach our community with the love of Jesus Christ. We are challenged by the thousands of people living around us who may not yet know Jesus as their personal Savior.
To meet these challenges:
-
We began two Sunday morning worship services in March of 2000 to accommodate real and anticipated growth.
-
We have expanded our nursery facilities to accommodate infants and toddlers.
-
We have an exciting, new children's program, Heart Shapers, for ages 2 - 9 that meets on Wednesday nights.
-
We have a new Christian Activities Center that can be used for church dinners and events as well as a safe play area for our youth and children.
-
We have a well-stocked, commercial kitchen that can be used for church-sponsored dinners and events.
-
We have made available a handi-cap accessible Sunday School classroom for our senior adults.
-
Our youth funded a play area for our children that is located on the west side of the campus
-
We have launched a church web site.
-
We are beginning a new Sunday School class for Generation Xers.
But we are not finished:
-
We have plans for Phase II of our building program that will provide us with additional floor space in our CAC, a stage area and much needed, additional classrooms.
-
We have plans for a new, paved drive around the campus and an additional parking lot.
-
We want to establish many small groups within the church body to help the church grow and fellowship.
- If you feel burdened for the lost and "community challenged," help us be "committed to growth." Contact Pastor Darryl to get plugged in to your area of ministry at shepherd@cedarcreekchurchofgod.org.
Folks check out a display featuring our new web site.
